My goal is to offer consultations to provide deeper insight, richer understanding, and personal growth.
The astrology I practice is a fusion of many types. Put simply, I’m a traditional astrologer with both modern and psychological influences. My Renaissance astrology is informed by twentieth-century Uranian techniques as well as some key asteroids, which allows me to give a comprehensive reading of many astrological influences on your life. I use my background in positive psychology as a lens to highlight your strengths and capabilities when facing the inevitable challenges that arise in life. My hope is that you walk away with a clearer understanding of the celestial influences on your life and the confidence to embrace change.

During this consultation, I’ll delineate your natal chart and provide you with an astrological interpretation of your personality, finances, family, relationships and career. In this consultation, we’ll look at the natal promise of your birth chart, which includes your personality, finances, family, relationships and career, as well as the current astrological influences that you’re experiencing. We’ll do this by examining your solar return and transits to predict the happenings of your life from one birthday to the next.

During this predictive reading, we will examine your solar return chart, transits, eclipses and progressions to interpret the astral influences which illustrate the gifts and challenges you can expect in the next year of your life. A Solar Return reading acts as a guidebook for the next year of your life, so you can better prepare for what’s to come and feel confident in trusting where you should focus your time. This is a great birthday present for yourself or for a loved one!

This consultation uses astro-cartography to predict the influences you can expect at various geographical locations. I will examine 2-3 different potential locations and describe the influences you would experience there based on the experiences or places you’re seeking.

This is a consultation that answers a specific burning question. It is not related to your natal chart, but rather it is a chart cast for the moment of your question. I will interpret the chart to answer your question and provide you with clarity around your situation.

Do you have a new baby or young child in your family? This reading can give you valuable insight into the nature of your child, allowing you to better understand and meet their emotional and physical needs. Hello, I’m Martha Kuehn!
I have been inspired by astrology since 1984, studying it since 1989, and living it since I retired from my academic career in 2021. I have a Master’s in counseling, and worked full-time for 23 years in academia, teaching psychology and then serving as a dean for seven years. I’m now happy to be the Chief Astrologer at 23 Astrology.
I earned my first certification in astrology in 1990 from the White Eagle School of Astrology. More recently, I have a diploma from the Oraculos School of Astrology, where I studied with Mychal Bryan for three years. I also hold a certification in Astro*Cartography from the Continuum. I hold a Master’s degree in counseling, and am also a certified mediator with experience in helping people find common ground.
I am a retired psychology professor and academic dean, with many years of experience in working with people to help them understand themselves and be the best version of themselves. My special interest is positive psychology, the science of human strengths and well-being. I carry this interest into my astrology work as well, giving people tools to see themselves and their life experiences in a new light. I enjoy using world (mundane) astrology to understand current events, but my heart truly lies in natal astrology and helping people to understand their own lives.

Why the name 23 Astrology?
Twenty-three is not only one of my favorite numbers, it is also a special number in so many ways.
Mathematically, it is a prime number, divisible only by 1 and itself. The numerals 2 and 3 are also both prime and consecutive.
Numerologically, it is a happy number and is linked with the desire to bring joy to others. It is related to luck, serendipity, success, balance, harmony, and positive energy. It is a mystical number that appears frequently once you become aware of 23 synchronicities.
Spiritually, 23 is associated with alignment with one’s life purpose, happiness, and spiritual awakening - all areas that can be enhanced with an astrology reading. The synchronicity between the movements of the cosmos and human life here on planet Earth is a beautiful dance. Astrology allows us to delineate these celestial influences and use them to dance in our best possible way.
